The Boeing Company is looking for a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Data Architect to join the team in either Seattle, WA; The Data Architect will lead the design and development of our enterprise data infrastructure within a complex, high-precision airplane manufacturing environment.
You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity, scalability, and security of data systems that support everything from engineering and production to supply chain and compliance.
This is a critical role that bridges advanced manufacturing operations with cutting-edge data technology.
Architect and manage enterprise data platforms to support design, manufacturing, quality assurance, and regulatory reporting Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models tailored for manufacturing, engineering, and product lifecycle management (PLM) systems Collaborate with engineering, Information Technology (IT), supply chain, and compliance teams to understand data needs and translate them into scalable solutions Lead integration of diverse data sources, including IoT data from factory equipment, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (e.g., SAP), and Computer Aided Design/Product Lifecycle Management (CAD/PLM) tools (e.g., Siemens Teamcenter, CATIA) Develop and enforce data governance policies to ensure data quality, traceability, and regulatory compliance Establish and enforce data management standards and best practices Oversee data integration and Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes across diverse sources Ensure data quality, consistency, and accessibility across the organization Design and maintain data warehousing and business intelligence platforms to support predictive analytics, digital twin initiatives, and real-time decision-making Recommend and implement cloud-based and hybrid solutions to improve performance and flexibility (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) Work with business teams to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights Stay current on aerospace industry data trends, standards, and compliance requirements 5+ years of experience with Data Engineering and/or Data Science ~1+ years of experience with database design, data modeling, or object modeling ~1+ years of experience with relational database concepts ~1+ years of experience working in a UNIX or LINUX environment ~1+ years of experience working with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field Experience with real-time data streaming (e.g., Experience in implementing data governance, security, and regulatory compliance frameworks Experience with Oracle, Teradata, SQL Server Experience with data security and compliance Certifications in data architecture or cloud platforms (e.g., TOGAF, CDMP, AWS Certified Data Analytics) Experience with Agile concepts Boeingis a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies .
