HX5 is currently seeking a qualified candidate to join our team in Alamogordo, New Mexico at Holloman Air Force Base in Support of the Holloman High Speed Test Track (HHSTT) in data analysis associated with sled testing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Use a variety of software and analytic methods to deduce test conditions. Test data sources include, but are not limited to, Doppler radars, high speed cameras, and data acquisition systems that acquire data from a variety of sensors to include accelerometers, pressure sensors, thermocouples, load cells, and angular rate sensors.

Able to create or code simple software tools to analyze test data, typically MATLAB.

Draw conclusions based on test data and compile information into a detailed technical report. Reports will summarize testing overview, test setup configuration, results, and conclusions, and may be over 100 pages in length, requiring multiple iterations of review and further editing. As such, strong writing skills are a must.

Establish reporting timelines for post-test data processing and publish written technical reports.

Document test setup procedures performed by personnel, including equipment used, configuration settings, and environmental conditions to ensure accuracy and repeatability of tests. Can include up to entire shifts of time in the field documenting pre- and post-test conditions.

Understand and communicate technical information to stakeholders across various disciplines, both verbally and in writing.

Assist in the creation and archival of accurate and timely test documentation including contract documents, test plans, safety plans, security plans, launch orders, and mission reports.

Communicate effectively with test team and customers to achieve proper data collection. Primary modes of communication include technical reports, presentations, and meetings/email correspondence.

A working knowledge of statistics is highly desirable.

Education and Experience:

Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience:

BS or MS degree in a technical or scientific field and 3 to 10 years of experience

Exceptional oral and written communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week and offers a flexible work schedule Monday through Friday during core business hours. Working outside normal work hours may be required occasionally in support of testing, including evenings, weekends, and holidays (but generally infrequently).

Other Position Requirements:

Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.

Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.

Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance within six (6) months of start date.

Must be able to travel, including air travel.
