Location: Atlanta, Georgia

Compensation: 80k-90k

About the Job:

Lakeside HR Group has been engaged to recruit a Payroll Specialist for our client in the construction industry located in Atlanta, GA. We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to oversee and manage payroll operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in handling complex payroll systems, including multi-state payroll, various pay types (salary, hourly, commission-based), and payroll integration for newly acquired companies.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee the end-to-end payroll process for employees across multiple states and business units.

Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll, including salaries, hourly wages, commissions, bonuses, and other compensation types.

Handle payroll integration for newly acquired companies, ensuring seamless transitions and compliance with all relevant regulations.

Maintain and update payroll records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.

Collaborate with HR, finance, and other departments to ensure payroll data is accurate and up to date.

Stay current with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and ensure compliance.

Address and resolve payroll-related inquiries and issues from employees and management.

Implement and maintain payroll best practices to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Prepare and submit payroll reports to management and external stakeholders as required.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll management in a multi-state and multi-site environment.

Strong knowledge of payroll systems and software, with experience in integrating payroll for acquired companies.

Extensive experience with various pay types (salary, hourly, commission-based).

Excellent understanding of federal, state, and local payroll regulations.

Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
