Job Title: Security Analyst Location: Tallahassee, FL Work Authorization: USC, GC, H1B Job Summary: We are looking for experienced Security Analyst to support the agency's Continuity of Operations (COOP), Disaster Recovery (DR), and Risk Management initiatives.
This role requires working closely with the Network Supervisor and Information Security Manager to research, develop, and implement security and recovery plans, conduct tabletop exercises, and support knowledge transfer across the team.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and enhance Continuity of Operations (COOP) plans and programs in coordination with the Information Security Manager.
Design, implement, and update Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies, ensuring alignment with agency requirements and best practices.
Support the creation and maintenance of Risk Management frameworks, policies, and procedures.
Conduct thorough research on applicable mandates, regulations, and rules related to Information Security for compliance purposes.
Lead and participate in information-gathering sessions and interviews to understand technical requirements.
Facilitate tabletop exercises to test COOP, DR, and Risk Management plans and improve organizational readiness.
Draft, review, and implement security policies and industry best practices to network and systems.
Collaborate effectively with internal teams to promote security awareness and ensure policy adherence.
Mandatory Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field – or equivalent professional experience.
Minimum of 7 years of IT work experience, with strong knowledge in: Architecture design Software development Database management systems Systems integration in multi-platform environments Proven experience in: Drafting and implementing disaster recovery and COOP plans Conducting technical interviews and information-gathering sessions Leading tabletop exercises focused on security, risk, or continuity planning
