Responsibilities: Material Preparation: Cutting, grinding, and preparing metal for welding.

This includes using saws, grinders, and other tools to shape and size metal pieces according to specifications.

Shop Maintenance: Maintaining a clean and organized workspace, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.

Assisting Welders: Helping welders with tasks like setting up equipment, loading materials, and providing support as needed.

Following Instructions: Performing tasks according to instructions from supervisors or welders, ensuring work is completed accurately and efficiently.

Safety Compliance: Adhering to safety regulations and procedures, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and reporting any safety concerns.

Quality Control: Inspecting completed work for quality and ensuring it meets specifications.

Skills and Abilities: Physical Stamina: General laborers need to be able to lift and move heavy materials and operate tools for extended periods.

Basic Math Skills: Measuring and calculating dimensions, understanding blueprints, and following specifications.
