Business & Team:

Institutional Banking and Markets (IB&M) is responsible for managing the Group’s relationships with major corporate and government clients and institutional investors, and provides a full range of capital raising, transactional and risk management products and services. The division also performs an important internal role for the Group by providing equities, markets, lending and transaction banking execution capabilities to other CBA business units that allows them to capture opportunities with business customers.

IB&M has a clear vision and focus to extend customer relationships through innovation, data and digital platforms, building on our core capabilities. This role is within the Quants, Data, Analytics and Technology group, and the purpose of QDAT is to power, transform and grow IB&M. We have a broad mandate but primarily use scientific techniques to develop scalable and rich content to derive unique insights for institutional clients and internal bankers/product specialists, sales/traders. These capabilities enable IB&M to deliver on its purpose of combining global connectivity and capability for our clients.

Impact & Contribution:

As the Product Manager – CRM, you will be responsible for driving the development and enhancement of core Salesforce CRM features that support our institutional banking business. You will work in a DevSecOps model, ensuring secure, scalable, and high-performing solutions are delivered efficiently. Your work will directly impact how our bankers and clients interact with our digital platforms, enabling faster, data-driven decision-making and a consistent, digital-first experience.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Lead the product lifecycle for Salesforce CRM core features, from discovery through delivery and continuous improvement.

Customer Proposition and Voice of Customer (VoC): Define and refine the customer proposition through VoC, market research, and industry analysis.

Build and Maintain Key Relationships including Product Owner, Squad Members, Crew Lead, Chapter Area Lead, Customers, and Relevant Stakeholders.

Critical Capabilities and Mindsets: Customer-centric problem solving, understanding performance drivers, and regulatory frameworks. Foster critical mindsets like being customer-obsessed, curious, and collaborative.

Partner with stakeholders across IB&M to understand business needs and translate them into scalable CRM solutions.

Prioritise and manage the squad backlog, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and key results.

Collaborate with cross-functional squads to deliver secure, compliant, and high-quality CRM enhancements in a DevSecOps environment.

Act as a conduit between business and technical teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment.

Monitor product performance, gather feedback, and iterate to improve user experience and business outcomes.

Foster a culture of innovation, excellence, and continuous improvement within the team.

Essential Skills:

Minimum Experience is 6-10 years

Proven experience in Salesforce CRM product management or ownership, ideally in a financial services context.

Strong understanding of DevSecOps principles and agile delivery methodologies.

Experience delivering end-to-end CRM solutions to business users.

Ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments and influence across multiple levels.

Familiarity with Institutional Banking, Transaction Banking, or Financial Markets products is advantageous.

Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

A growth mindset and high learning agility.

Tertiary qualifications in Business, Technology, or a related field preferred.

Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology
