Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Saw Room Operator to join our team. The

Saw Room Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining saws and other cutting

equipment to ensure the accurate and efficient processing of materials. This role requires a strong

commitment to safety, precision, and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate various types of saws (e.g., band saws, circular saws) to cut materials according to

specifications.

Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and production schedules.

Measure and mark materials for cutting, ensuring accuracy and adherence to specifications.

Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on saws and related equipment.

Monitor and adjust machine settings to achieve desired cuts and minimize waste.

Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy, making adjustments as needed.

Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety protocols and procedures.

Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.

Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the supervisor immediately.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Previous experience operating saws or similar cutting equipment in a manufacturing or production

environment.

Strong understanding of safety procedures and protocols.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Excellent attention to detail and precision.

Good physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.

Effective communication and teamwork skills.
