Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Plumbing Estimator to join our team in Levittown, PA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing accurate and competitive cost estimates for plumbing installations, renovations, and repair projects. This role requires interpreting construction documents and specifications, collaborating with project teams and clients, and ensuring all estimates align with project goals and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Estimate Project Costs: Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to determine costs for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors specific to plumbing systems.
Prepare Bids and Proposals: Create detailed and competitive cost estimates and assist in submitting formal bids for commercial and residential plumbing projects.
Client and Team Communication: Act as a liaison between clients, engineers, and project teams to provide clear, accurate cost data and ensure mutual understanding of project scope and timelines.
Budget Management: Track project-related costs and support budget control efforts to ensure projects stay within approved financial parameters.
Stay Informed on Industry Trends: Maintain current knowledge of plumbing codes, materials, methods, and estimating best practices to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Required Skills and Experience:
Solid technical understanding of plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, gas piping, and fixtures.
Experience with estimating software (knowledge of tools such as Trimble AutoBid Mechanical, Bluebeam, or AutoCAD MEP is advantageous).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess project requirements and produce reliable cost estimates.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate and thorough estimates.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in the plumbing or general construction industry.
Familiarity with local and national plumbing codes and inspection requirements.
Understanding of project management and cost tracking principles.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and construction documents.
