We are looking for a skilled Business Analyst to join our team on a long-term contract basis in West Des Moines, Iowa. In this role, you will be responsible for gathering and analyzing business requirements, collaborating with stakeholders, and supporting the development team throughout the product lifecycle. Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and define technical and business requirements for small to medium-scale projects.

• Document and maintain detailed data processes and system specifications to ensure clear communication.

• Support software development practices, including writing user stories and utilizing Agile tools such as JIRA.

• Coordinate and manage project tasks, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals.

• Analyze existing business processes and identify areas for improvement through gap analysis.

• Provide ongoing project documentation and reporting to stakeholders.

• Facilitate communication between internal teams and external third parties to achieve project objectives.

• Assist with the development and implementation of software solutions, including life insurance and annuity-related systems.

• Perform other duties as assigned to meet organizational needs.• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• At least 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the financial services industry.

• Proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, and Outlook.

• Strong understanding of Agile Scrum methodologies and experience using tools like JIRA.

• Familiarity with life insurance, annuities (fixed and variable), and related financial products.

• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues promptly.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present information effectively in group settings.

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
