Reports To: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Controller to join our leadership team. This role is pivotal in managing the financial health of our growing construction business, overseeing the accounting operations of three entities, and supporting strategic financial planning. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in construction accounting, financial reporting, and treasury support.Key Responsibilities:
Lead the Monthly Close Process
Oversee and manage the month-end and year-end close processes across three entities.
Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP.
Financial Reporting & Analysis
Prepare consolidated financial statements for three companies for CFO review.
Collaborate with the FP&A Manager to ensure alignment between actuals and forecasts.
Support quarterly finance meetings with presentation-ready financial packages.
Treasury & Cash Flow Management
Assist in the development and maintenance of a 13-week cash flow forecast.
Monitor cash balances and support treasury operations in coordination with the FP&A team.
Compliance & Controls
Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors as needed.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
Supervise accounting staff and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Work cross-functionally with project managers and operations to ensure financial accuracy.Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a Controller or Assistant Controller role.
Experience in the construction industry strongly preferred.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Viewpoint, or similar ERP systems).
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.What We Offer:
