SVS Group, Inc. is seeking a Saw Operator for our Tempe, AZ location. This position will be full time hours on first shift. This will be a contract position.
The individual will be responsible for operating a saw, cutting wood, and maintaining safety standards.
Responsibilities
Operate saws to cut wood and assemble products
Maintain safety standards at all times
Follow all safety rules and guidelines
Work safely around tools and equipment
Maintain a clean work area
Complete daily paperwork and reports
Follow all company policies and procedures
Other tasks as assigned by Production Manager
Education/Experience/Skills
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred but not required
Ability to read and understand drawings, specifications, and job instructions from written or verbal instructions from management.
Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Must be able to perform basic arithmetic operations. Must be able to read and interpret mechanical drawings and schematics. Must be able to read shop drawings including punchboards. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.Company Description
