Job Description

Location: Allendale, MI

Pay: $20.00+/hr BOE

Shift: 1st

Responsibilities

Operate metalworking machines such as shears, brakes, punches, drill presses, and CNC equipment to cut, bend, punch, drill, shape, or straighten sheet metal.

Fit and join sheet metal parts using riveting, welding, soldering, and similar equipment to fabricate products such as ventilation shafts, exhaust hoods, partition frames, dust collection piping, and material handling systems.

Inspect product quality ensuring 100% conformance to specifications.

Maintain production pace throughout the shift.

Follow directives from supervisors and leads.

Must have own tools.

Must pass weld test.Skills and Qualifications

Proficient in MIG welding on various mild steel thicknesses (16 gauge, ”, 3/8”, ”).

TIG and Stick welding experience is a plus.

Ability to read and comprehend engineering drawings, sketches, and work specifications.

Mechanically inclined with strong troubleshooting skills.

Strong math skills.

Experience in weld fabrication with sheet metal and structural welding.

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Ability to work overtime as needed.Competencies
