**This is a full-time onsite 1099 contract role payable at $38.00 per hour**
Audio Visual Technician
The skills needed for this position are:
Experience in a corporate environment preferred
Experience with diverse ranges of audio and video systems
Proficient in diagnosing and resolving issues related to AV equipment (especially Cisco kits) commonly used in meeting rooms. Including but not limited to: troubleshooting connectivity problems, ensuring proper functioning, and addressing any technical glitches.
A basic to solid Understanding of TCP/IP networking
In-depth understanding of Audio / Visual Streaming technology. (Skype, Teams, Zoom, Video Conferencing, CODEC) and Cisco kits.
Customer service mindset and can-do attitude.
The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Willing to learn new skills, keep up with tech trends, and stay informed of EME
Patience working with non-tech savvy people and able to explain technology in layman terms as needed
Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 environment
Comfortable with Windows 10 and PC settings
Audio / Visual Troubleshooting Skills - (Able to react quickly towards a successful result, as problems arise in a fluid environment).
A+ and Network+ and Microsoft Office Products (or their equivalent) are a plus but are not required.
Understanding of “Bridging Technology” is also a plus.
Duties and Responsibilities Include but are Not Limited to:
Maintaining meeting room functionality (regular inspection of meeting rooms, ensuring rooms and equipment are in good condition, including checking for any wear and tear, damaged cables, or malfunctioning equipment)
Evaluate and Communicate when meeting rooms need updates or changes (such as new cabling, equipment upgrades, or rearrangement), the contractor will be responsible for executing these refreshes.
Setup, kickoff, and support conference rooms for meetings as well as corporate events with technology and audiovisual capabilities and ensuring everything runs smoothly.
Managing AV equipment inventory, including keeping track of what's available, plan for future needs, and maintain an organized system.
As an L2 technician, the ability to handle escalated issues from other staff members who perform meeting room checkouts in addition to configuration problems, connectivity issues, and any other technical challenges is a must.
Administer the RMA process.
On-call white-glove treatment mentality to support onsite executives when needed
Go above and beyond the call of duty in the name of customer service
Pay: $38.00 per hour
Hours: Mon - Fri
