About the Position
The Pabst Theater Group is actively searching for a detail-oriented Accountant to become a vital member of our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the financial operations of a renowned organization that plays a pivotal role in the vibrant live entertainment scene of Milwaukee. As an Accountant, you will be instrumental in managing financial records, ensuring accuracy in revenue and expense reporting for a myriad of captivating events hosted across our six exceptional venues. Duties/Responsibilities:
Record revenue and expenses for nightly events
Prepare inventory reports for management, including inventory valuation, variance analysis, and cost of goods sold
Analyze inventory trends and identify opportunities for process improvement
General ledger maintenance and perform monthly reconciliation of assigned accounts
Assists in month-end close, forecasting, analysis of financial statements and annual budgets
Prepare daily, weekly, and/or monthly reports and schedules
Assist with special projects as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to act with integrity, professionalism and confidentiality
Exceptional proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Possess excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Education and Experience:
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field from an accredited college of university is required
Three to five years relevant work experience preferred
Compensation and benefits:
This position includes health, dental and vision insurance benefits, participation in company 401k program, participation in company bonus program. Salary commensurate with experience.
