Customer Service Representative

Job Description

We are looking for a meticulous Customer Service Representative to join our team in Monroe, North Carolina. This Contract to permanent position is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong communication and organizational skills to make a meaningful impact in a wholesale distribution environment. The role involves managing customer orders, addressing inquiries, and ensuring seamless order processing while maintaining high service standards.

Responsibilities:

• Enter customer orders accurately into the system, ensuring all shipping instructions and details are correct.

• Review and analyze order quantities to allocate inventory appropriately and maintain balanced distribution.

• Process customer-approved returns in accordance with applicable guidelines, ensuring timely resolution.

• Address customer inquiries via phone and email, providing prompt and thorough assistance.

• Manage credit and debit processing for customer accounts, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.

• Follow up on special customer requirements and ensure compliance with established parameters.

• Reconcile daily customer orders and address any discrepancies in a timely manner.

• Assist in gathering necessary documentation and information for export-related claims.

• Maintain accurate records and ensure adherence to departmental standard operating procedures (SOPs).• Proven experience in customer service, preferably in a call center or manufacturing environment.

• Proficiency in data entry and order management systems, with familiarity in SAP being a plus.

• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and Word for efficient documentation and reporting.

• Ability to handle inbound and outbound calls with professionalism and efficiency.

• Exceptional written communication skills for email correspondence and reporting.

• Familiarity with scheduling appointments and managing account parameters.

• Knowledge of wholesale distribution or manufacturing processes is highly desirable.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple tasks effectively.
