Job Description

GlobaLogix, Inc. serves mid-market Energy and Utility clients by delivering engineering, design, and installation of industrial control systems on time and on budget. We have deep industry knowledge and experience to provide complete solutions.

We are currently seeking Electrical Apprentices/Helpers for our West Texas operations in Pecos, Texas. Prefer Local candidates but will consider helpers who will work on a 2:1 rotation or M-F schedule. Can count on at least 50-60 hours per week. This is a fast-paced environment. Must be able to contend with the weather conditions in West Texas.

Apprentice/Helper

Help install power supply and automation wiring

Help install conduit such as Rigid Metal Conduit, MC cable, strut, and cable tray

Assist with troubleshooting electrical components, wiring diagrams, transformers, motors, panels, and circuits

Help install, maintain, and repair electrical systems such as switch gears, motor controls, electrical panels, lighting, and power supplies

Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit, using measuring instruments and hand tools

Trace out short circuits in wiring, using a test meter

Examine electrical units for loose connections and broken insulation and tighten connections using hand tools

Construct controllers and panels, using power drills, taps, saws and punches

Clean and maintain work area, truck, and trailer

Maintain tools, vehicle, equipment, and keeping parts and supplies in orderMinimum Qualifications

• Current Texas Apprentice License (Company will help set up if required)

• Minimum 1-year electrical experience (2+ years of electrical experience preferred)

• Previous oilfield experience and knowledge is preferred

• High School Diploma/GED or higher level

• Basic computer knowledge (windows, email, internet, etc.)

• Good communication skills

• Basic math skills

• Reading skills (basic instructional and technical information) -OR-

• An acceptable combination of education and experience

• Must have clean driving record
