We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Sr. Financial Accountant to join our finance team. The Sr. Financial Accountant will work closely with the Controller in preparing monthly and quarterly journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, management of intercompany balances, invoicing intercompany billings, and ad hoc projects. This is a position with the ability to learn and gain experience in the business with the potential to expand into additional roles and/or responsibilities.
Responsibilities
Manage the monthly financial close process, including reviewing transactions and costs incurred are properly recorded, reviewing journal entries, account balance reconciliations, consolidating financials, and financial reports.
Reconcile and compile financial data across multiple subsidiary goals within budgeted appropriations. Provide fiscal analysis, financial forecasting, and technical assistance.
Execute physical inventory reconcilation counts with financial records.
Prepare monthly/quarterly customer rebate payments and supporting schedules and work with customers to resolve disputes.
Prepare monthly manufacturer's representative commission payments.
Serve as technical leader in the accounting space, assisting peers and internal/external customers.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting.
Five (5) years of experience in general accounting with a strong background with multiple entities (intercompany accounting), A/P, A/R.
Advanced computer skills including advanced spreadsheet functions (e.g. Pivot Tables, Lookups, Formulas)
Strong quantitative financial skills.
Experience with intercompany accounting.
High degree of general accounting knowledge and application of that knowledge.
Proficiency in various ERP systems, Net Suite is strongly preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
