General Description
This position supports the Air Force Human Resources (HR) division in San Antonio, TX, providing support to the Human Resource System’s software development, maintenance, and sustainment efforts. Specifically, the successful candidate will perform as a systems administrator across multiple non-production platforms, performing workspace administration, administering to testing environment(s), and acting as the first point of contact for user issues and requests.
Duties and responsibilities
Setting up and maintaining test environments (potentially including virtualization and containerization).
Installing and configuring the necessary software, plugins, and integrations.
Managing test data and ensuring its integrity.
Implementing and managing version control for test artifacts.
Provisioning and managing user accounts and access permissions.
Ensuring efficient resource allocation (CPU, memory, storage) for tools.
Implementing and maintaining security protocols.
Monitoring tool health and performance, troubleshooting issues.
Troubleshooting problems, escalating complex issues to development teams.
Providing timely updates and resolutions to users.
ALM Octane -- Managing and customizing workflows for defects, tests, and requirements; generating reports and dashboards to track testing progress and quality; and integrating with other tools in the testing ecosystem (e.g., Jira, Jenkins).
UiPath -- Managing and deploying UiPath robots and orchestrators; configuring and monitoring automated test processes; and troubleshooting automation errors and exceptions
UFT One -- Creating and maintaining test scripts using VBScript or other supported languages; configuring and using UFT One's object repository and other testing features; and analyzing test results and identifying defects.
Jenkins -- Creating and managing Jenkins jobs for automated testing; configuring build pipelines and integrating with version control systems; and managing Jenkins plugins and configurations
Specialized Knowledge
The successful candidate will have knowledge and expertise in the following areas:
Agile software development techniques and life cycles.
Knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux) and networking concepts.
Ability to create and maintain comprehensive documentation for each tool, including configurations, troubleshooting guides, and best practices.
Explore opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and processes to improve efficiency.
Implement monitoring tools and dashboards to track tool health, performance, and usage.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Engineering, Mathematics, or Business.
Professional Certifications
None required.
Clearance
None required. However, one must be able to obtain a favorable adjudication of a NAC-I investigation.
Experience
4+ years’ relevant experience.
Citizenship
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Skills and Abilities
Strong problem-solving skills, producing positive outcomes, and return on investment (ROI) for the federal government.
Other Characteristics (e.g., Personal or Language)
Excellent oral, written communication in English. Must work in a team environment with personnel from other companies, government program management, administrative personnel, and technical staff members.
Working conditions, including location
Remote work. Client duty hours are Monday through Friday. Core hours are 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM Central Time.
