At Northpointe Bank, we believe a great career should empower you to lead, collaborate, and grow. We’re seeking a driven and experienced Processing Manager to oversee our loan processing team and drive operational excellence across conforming, government, and non-agency loan programs.
This role is ideal for someone who excels at balancing leadership with hands-on work, brings deep knowledge of mortgage compliance, and thrives in a high-volume environment where precision and teamwork matter.
What You’ll Do:
Leadership & Team Oversight
Supervise a team of Loan Processors and Team Leads
Assign daily priorities and monitor workload via pipeline reports
Provide training and guidance on income, credit, title, and collateral review
Collaborate with senior management and sales teams to align goals
Pipeline & Compliance Management
Maintain a personal loan pipeline and model best-in-class processing
Ensure files meet TRID, ECOA, and HMDA compliance
Partner with underwriting, closing, and secondary to ensure file quality and saleability
Support centralized disclosures during high-volume periods
Operational Excellence
Update procedures and training content based on regulatory changes
Collaborate with tech and ops teams to streamline workflows
Review documentation for accuracy and completeness
Assist with vendor invoice management and file integrity
Customer Service & Collaboration
Serve as a resource to loan officers, underwriters, closers, and borrowers
Deliver professional communication and outstanding service
Help maintain confidentiality and data security at every touchpoint
What You Bring:
Education & Experience
High school diploma required; degree in Business, Finance, or related field preferred
5+ years of mortgage processing experience, including agency (Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac), FHA, VA, and Non-Agency loans
Prior experience with MSHDA, OHFA, RD, and FHLB is a plus
Solid understanding of TRID, ECOA, HMDA, and related mortgage regulations
Technical Skills
Skilled in reviewing credit, income, bank statements, and risk assessment
Proficient in AUS platforms (DU, LP, GUS) and LOS (Encompass or Byte)
Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Capable of managing multiple loans with accuracy and attention to detail
Leadership & Soft Skills
Demonstrated leadership or team mentoring experience
Excellent verbal and written communication
Self-starter with strong project and time management skills
Adaptable and calm under pressure, with a continuous improvement mindset
