Solutions Architect- Networks

About the Role

Kinetic IT has an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and strategic Solutions Architect – Networks to join one of our newest customers in East Perth. This pivotal role will be responsible for designing and delivering robust, scalable, and secure network solutions that support one of our technically advanced customers network environments.

As a Solutions Architect, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors to develop high-level network architectures that support enterprise initiatives, cloud strategies, and network transformation projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end network solutions across the customers networking landscape

• Translate business and technical requirements into secure, scalable, and highly available network designs

• Develop and maintain network architecture documentation, standards, and best practices

• Provide technical leadership and oversight throughout the solution lifecycle—from concept to implementation

• Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to inform architectural strategy

• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, cloud, and application teams to ensure cohesive solutions

• Assist in the selection of tools, platforms, and vendors related to networking technologies

• Ensure designs comply with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and security standards

• Conduct impact assessments and risk analyses for proposed changes or solutions

Key Skills and Experience

• Proven experience in network architecture, design, and implementation

• Strong knowledge of enterprise network technologies, including routing, switching, firewalls, WAN, LAN, SD-WAN, VPN, and wireless solutions

• Experience with cloud networking (Azure, AWS) including hybrid connectivity and security

• Understanding of network security principles and zero-trust architecture

• Experience in large-scale transformation projects or complex enterprise environments

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
