The School of Arts and Sciences (SAS) is the largest academic unit at Rutgers University and the center of the undergraduate experience on the Rutgers-New Brunswick campus and is comprised of 41 academic departments spanning the liberal arts. Posting Summary

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Program Coordinator I (Youth Sports Research Council) for the Youth Sports Council within the School of Arts and Sciences (SAS).

Among the key duties of this position are the following:

Organizes, administers, and coordinates various facets of the Youth Sports Research Council's (YSRC) educational programs, courses, and workshops within established guidelines and goals set forth by the Director in coordination with the Senior Program Coordinator.

Schedules, facility coordination's, materials management, and ensuring compliance with registration and reporting procedures.

Supports financial tasks such as payment collection and reporting, as well as developing and distributing marketing materials, and managing the YSRC website.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience

A bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates knowledge and understanding of program coordination, organization, facilitation, report analysis, writing, and promotion outreach.

A minimum of two-years relevant experience in a program coordination or administrative function working with volunteers.

Certifications/Licenses

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong understanding of program coordination practices, communication skills, and computer literacy, contributing to the YSRC's mission of advancing youth sports research and education. Preferred Qualifications

This position requires knowledge of youth sports organizations in New Jersey.

Experience working with volunteers in municipal government and non-profit agencies; excellent presentation skills.

Equipment Utilized

Excellent computer skills including as well as in-depth understanding of data management structure and ability to manipulate data imports and exports is required, WordPress web design, and Adobe Creative Cloud. Physical Demands and Work Environment

Due to the schedules of the professionals who participate in the Sports Council's workshops, this position may require work to be performed during weekends and evenings as needed.
