Drafter

Join HMT, the global leader in aboveground storage tank solutions, as a Drafter. In this role, you will support engineering projects by preparing detailed drawings and collaborating closely with design engineers to ensure projects are completed accurately, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities / Essential Functions

Works on projects with assigned design engineer to complete projects on time and within budget.

Applies industry and company standards in preparation and review of drawings, details, and diagrams

Read and interpret technical drawings, inspection reports, and project scopes

Prepares fabrication and manufacturing drawings and assist PM and project engineer with any issues related to drawings

Assists project/design engineers and project leads with problems requiring advanced understanding of layout and drafting

Assists with project/design engineer, project lead, client and/or official contacts pertaining to specific assignments

Maintain and update all assigned projects on the Engineering Schedule

Education/Experience Requirements:

High School Diploma/GED Equivalent

1 year of experience drafting API 650 tanks or in a related field

1 year of experience with AUTOCAD 2D

Preferred Experience:

Excellent reading, writing, and communication skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Advanced Math Skills - Architectural, Trigonometry

API 650/653 Experience a plus
