Targeted HR Consulting is partnering with a reputable contractor specializing in municipal utility infrastructure—including Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants—to hire a full-time Construction Project Manager. With a regional presence across Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, and Oklahoma, our client has earned its reputation through quality work and strong team values.
This role is ideal for someone with a background in heavy civil construction, particularly in water/wastewater treatment plant projects, who is looking for a hybrid work option with minimal travel.
What You’ll Do
Lead project delivery from contract award through final completion.
Manage subcontractors, issue purchase orders, and handle materials logistics.
Work closely with estimating and field teams to maintain project schedules and budgets.
Conduct occasional site visits (1–2 times/month or as needed) to support teams and ensure project culture aligns with company values.
Coordinate site safety, subcontractor activity, scheduling, and crew effectiveness.
Build strong relationships with engineers, owners, and subcontractors to ensure project alignment.
Resolve issues proactively through communication and collaboration.
Oversee progress billings, invoicing, and timely payments.
Represent the company in all pre-construction, progress, and closeout meetings.
Drive improvements in quality, efficiency, and cost control.
What We’re Looking For
5+ years of construction experience (heavy civil preferred).
Direct experience with municipal utility or water/wastewater treatment projects highly preferred.
Degree or technical training in Construction Management or a related field.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and troubleshoot in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and collaboration.
Must be authorized to work in the US without work visa sponsorship.

Compensation:
$90,000-$130,000 per year
