Sr. Firmware Engineer

System One has an exciting Sr.

Firmware Engineer opportunity with a partner in the Tulsa, OK area.

Successful candidates must be able to provide proof of ability to work in the U.S.

without sponsorship.

This position is not open to corp-to-corp, subcontractor or independent consulting arrangements.

Responsibilities: Firmware: Perform embedded systems programming in C and C++ languages to work on firmware development, optimizing code, and troubleshooting firmware running on microcontrollers (8-bit and 32-bit bare-metal and Real-Time OS). Microcontroller Expertise: Utilize in-depth knowledge of microcontrollers (e.g., AVR or STM32 preferable) to develop high-performance embedded systems.

PCB and System Design: Lead the PCB and system design process from concept to production.

Use ECAD software skills (e.g.

Altium Designer) to design PCB and create efficient and reliable multi-layer PCB Schematics and/or layouts.

Prototyping: Take designs from the drawing board to real-world prototypes by working with vendors for a successful product and develop electrical test set-up and instrumentation for product validation testing.

Collaboration: Work closely with global teams in Europe to ensure seamless integration of electronics into our products.

Experience with version control systems (e.g., SVN, Git, BitBucket) and bug tracking systems (e.g., Jira) preferable.

Ability to travel domestic and internationally 10 – 15%. Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Software or Computer Science Engineering.

Five or more years of embedded system design, hardware and firmware development experience.

Knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes and assembly.

Ability to thrive on challenges, demonstrate initiative, and approach complex problems with innovative solutions.

Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, communication, research and analytical skills.
