Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Technician who will also act as our Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our housekeeping team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment for our residents. The ideal candidate will have a passion for senior care and be able to adapt as emergent issues occur.

Responsibilities

Performs general maintenance work on a daily basis including, but not limited to, replacing light bulbs, repairing basic electrical, basic plumbing, minor PTAC repair, and appliances.

Prepares resident apartments for new occupants by painting, cleaning carpets, and general repair.

Assists Maintenance Director with proper function of all emergency systems.

Assists in transporting residents to appointments.

Supervise and coordinate housekeeping staff to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment

Develop and maintain good working relationships with staff, residents, and families

Perform quality control checks and ensure adherence to cleanliness standards

Train and mentor housekeeping team members

Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment

Create and adjust staff schedules to ensure optimal coverage

Address resident concerns and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction

Qualifications

Previous experience in housekeeping supervision, preferably in a senior living or healthcare setting

Strong leadership and communication skills - with ability to communicate in English to fulfill job requirements.

Attention to detail and ability to multitask

Knowledge of cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and infection control practices

Proficiency in using cleaning equipment and products

Proficiency in using basic hand and power tools

Physical ability to perform housekeeping tasks when necessary

Physical ability to bend, stoop, climb, and lift

Must be able to lift and transfer up to 50 pounds
