Responsibilities - Custom Automotive Modification Technician:

Perform accessory installations including the following:

Lift kits on Jeeps and Trucks

Lighting installations as part of a kit or custom fabrication of electrical harnesses.

Off-road steel bumper installations

Wheel and tire installations up to 40” in size with mounting and balancing.

Basic car audio installations including speaker installation and radio replacement.

Towing and hauling accessories such as tow hitches with wiring and roof cargo management.

Lowering kits and coil-over installations

Lighting and calibration module installation.

Side-step installation fixed and power styles.

Provide an estimate of the time needed for repairs.

Perform multi-point inspection and diagnose malfunction(s).

Repair automotive systems, including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air-conditioning, etc., in accordance with dealership standards

Test-drive vehicles before and after installations

Test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment

Learn new technical information and techniques in training sessions

Adhere to company regulations and keep abreast of recalls and updates

Report any damaged or defective equipment to management

Report safety issues to management and ensure a clean working area

Qualifications/Requirements - Custom Automotive Modification Technician:

12V automotive electrical skills strongly preferred

Mechanical/troubleshooting skills and the ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment

Good work ethic and problem-solving skills

Thrives in a fast-paced, team environment

Motivated to learn new repair/service procedures

Valid driver’s license and good driving record

High school diploma or GED
