We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Behavior Technician (BT) to join our team. This role is instrumental in supporting individuals with complex behavioral needs, using evidence-based strategies rooted in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
Under the clinical supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and in collaboration with a Behavior Analyst (BA), the Behavior Technician plays a key role in delivering individualized behavior support services across home, day program, and community settings. Our ideal candidate is a compassionate professional with a solid understanding of behavioral principles and a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for the individuals we serve.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with BCBAs and BAs to implement individualized Behavior Support Plans (BSPs) grounded in the principles of ABA.
Deliver direct behavioral interventions to adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental disabilities, including those exhibiting challenging behaviors.
Model best practices in the implementation of BSPs for caregivers, direct support professionals, and interdisciplinary team members.
Train and support families and staff in the consistent application of behavior intervention strategies.
Monitor treatment fidelity and provide constructive feedback to ensure consistent and accurate BSP implementation.
Collect, manage, and analyze behavioral data using the ReThink data management system.
Develop individualized visual aids, schedules, or other therapeutic materials to support treatment goals.
Conduct routine visits to clients’ residences, day programs, and community settings to ensure continuity of care.
Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, demonstrating empathy, cultural sensitivity, and a client-centered approach in all interactions.
Maintain compliance with applicable regulations and cooperate with all state licensing inspections and inquiries.
Qualifications
Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities in a behavioral health or ABA setting strongly preferred.
Foundational understanding of ABA concepts and strategies.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to service sites.
Ability to work independently while taking direction from clinical supervisors.
Proficiency with data entry and familiarity with behavior tracking platforms (experience with ReThink is a plus).
