Entry Level Manufacturing Engineer

$70,000 – $90,000/year (depending on experience)

1st Shift Monday – Friday Full-Time

Are you a recent mechanical engineering graduate or technically inclined professional looking to break into the automotive manufacturing world? Aegis Worldwide is paired with a manufacturing company who is seeking an Entry Level Manufacturing Engineer to join their growing team in Fort Wayne, IN. This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology including hot-forming presses, robotic lasers, and welders.

Job Responsibilities

Perform feasibility studies on manufacturing processes and equipment

Estimate, quote, and specify capital equipment and assembly tooling for new/existing programs

Launch and support equipment and fixture tooling on the production floor

Troubleshoot equipment and perform root-cause analysis

Develop and maintain process and quality documentation

Design robust assembly fixtures based on customer specifications

Collaborate with vendors to meet Multimatic’s quality and performance expectations

Assist with continuous improvement projects and cost-saving initiatives

Produce and interpret CAD drawings as needed

Support skilled trades, engineers, and program managers throughout project cycles

Manage and implement tasks related to engineering changes (ECN/ECR)

Job Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME preferred)

OR technical degree with strong hands-on experience (1+ years)

Strong problem-solving mindset and familiarity with root-cause tools (8D, A3, etc.)

Experience with SolidWorks CAD software is a plus

Background in automotive or steel manufacturing is a bonus

Understanding of GD&T, tolerancing, and engineering documentation

Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products

Comfortable working in a collaborative, cross-functional environment
