Location: Connecticut Onsite (Weekly Travel Required; Open to U.S. Residents)

Compensation & Schedule

• Pay: $48/hr

• Schedule: 60 Hour Weekly Guarantee

• Duration: Prep for 3-month assignment (TBD)

• Additional: $50 daily per diem; lodging and flight paid for; single occupancy lodging

ROLE IMPACT

This position supports precision surface finishing on aerospace and high-performance components. The ideal candidate will have advanced experience in CNC ID/OD grinding using centerless or cylindrical grinders. Candidates will travel weekly to Connecticut and can reside anywhere in the U.S.

KEY DUTIES

• Set up and operate CNC precision grinders (ID and OD; centerless or cylindrical)

• Work to extremely tight tolerances and surface finish requirements

• True and dress grinding wheels and calibrate machine setup as required

• Interpret setup instructions and part drawings to execute grinding processes

• Conduct in-process inspections to ensure dimensional accuracy and part quality

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years experience in CNC precision ID/OD grinding (centerless or cylindrical)

• Ability to set up and true machines and grinding wheels independently

• Must bring documentation for ITAR-compliant facility access

• Willingness to travel weekly to Connecticut

EQUIPMENT & WORK ENVIRONMENT

• CNC precision grinders including ID and OD centerless/cylindrical machines

• Physical Requirements: standing for extended periods, high manual dexterity, ability to lift up to 50 lbs

PREFERRED SKILLS

• Direct experience in precision ID/OD grinding with complex geometries

• Background in aerospace or defense component grinding

• Familiarity with part inspection gauges and finish verification tools
