• Manage from IT Projects within the Applications, Digitalization, and Infrastructure portfolios
• Work within IT Project Management Office (PMO) guidelines and responsibility for resourcing, planning, executing, controlling, and closing projects using the NOVA Chemicals IT Project Methodology.
• Create and manage a project schedule, reporting late tasks and % completion.
• Lead and coach project team members through development of project deliverables and methodology.
• Manage and escalate project issues in an effective and timely manner.
• Monitor project metrics for significant deviations in quality, cost, or schedule and report monthly.
• Manage external resource relationships, strategic partners, and project team members during the life cycle of the project.
• Travel periodically to NOVA locations (in Canada) as dictated by project requirements.
• Adhere to NOVA IT policies, procedures, and methodologies. 1.2. Required Skills and Qualifications
Required Experience:
• Minimum 10+ years in IT project management with a focus on software implementations.
• Project Methodologies: Proficiency in Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies.
• Vendor Management: Strong experience managing third-party software vendors and contracts.
• Risk Management: Expertise in identifying and mitigating project risks.
• Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to engage, communicate, and manage expectations with diverse stakeholders.
• Technical Acumen: Understanding of software development, system integrations, and IT infrastructure.
• Certifications (Preferred): PMP, CSM, or equivalent. 1.3. Project Scope /DeliverablesThe Project Manager’s responsibilities include but are not limited to: Project Planning & Execution
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resources.
• Define project objectives and deliverables in alignment with business needs.
