Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Program Manager with a strong background in aerospace and systems engineering to lead complex projects in the high-tech engineering sector. This role requires a proactive leader who can manage cross-functional teams, ensure program success, and maintain alignment with both technical and business objectives. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a proven ability to deliver results in a client-facing environment.
Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage cross-functional teams to deliver aerospace and defense programs on schedule, within scope, and within budget.
• Develop comprehensive technical and programmatic plans based on customer requirements.
• Oversee systems engineering processes, including requirements development, system architecture, verification, validation, and risk management.
• Coordinate the integration of aerospace systems, including mechanical, electrical, software, and avionics components.
• Create and maintain program schedules, budgets, resource plans, and progress reports.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, and supply chain teams to achieve program objectives.
• Conduct internal and external program reviews, facilitating technical discussions with stakeholders.
• Support business development initiatives by preparing proposals, delivering technical presentations, and negotiating contracts.
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with technical and programmatic challenges.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant standards and regulations throughout program execution.• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of experience in aerospace or defense programs, with 3+ years in program or project management roles.
• Demonstrated success in managing complex, multi-disciplinary projects in a client-facing capacity.
• Strong knowledge of systems engineering processes and lifecycles.
• Proficiency with program management tools such as Project, Jira, and Confluence.
• Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and verbal and written communication skills.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, CSM) are a plus.
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S., with the ability to obtain a security clearance preferred.
