JB Harris Transport LLC is a leader in heavy haul transportation, specializing in the movement of construction equipment and related assets across multiple states. We are expanding our team with a dynamic Outside Sales Representative who will focus on selling our owned assets to local customers within the construction industry.
Job Summary:
We are looking for a driven and experienced Outside Sales Representative - Assets to promote and sell our transport and construction-related assets to local clients. The successful candidate will have a strong sales background in the construction sector, combined with the ability to build solid customer relationships and close high-value deals.
Key Responsibilities:
Actively prospect and engage new and existing local customers to sell company-owned assets.
Travel throughout assigned territory to meet clients, showcase products, and develop relationships.
Maintain a thorough understanding of the construction & transportation industry to identify market needs and sales opportunities.
Generate new leads through industry networking, client referrals, cold calling, and onsite visits.
Create customized solutions that deliver value to current and prospective clients.
Collaborate closely with operations and dispatch teams to ensure client satisfaction post-sale.
Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions, proposals, and closed sales using CRM tools.
Provide timely feedback and reporting to management on sales activity, market trends, and customer needs.
Represent JB Harris Transport LLC at local trade events, expos, and industry gatherings.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of proven experience in inside and/or outside sales within the construction and/or transportation industry.
Strong understanding of construction equipment, materials, and industry dynamics.
Equipment Industry or Construction Industry experience is preferred
Able to build and maintain authentic customer relationships
Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently, manage a sales territory, and meet/exceed sales targets.
Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Valid drivers license and the ability to travel locally as needed.
