Job Description

Axiom is a design studio meets full-service fabrication shop in Portland, Oregon. We bring together organizations, artists, designers and builders to create experiences that make you feel something. Our work is a reflection of who we are: proud hard workers. Oddball visionaries. Down-to-earth people with big ambitions.

We pay excellent wages and ensure that we offer an engaging and fun work environment. Our team enjoys great benefits, including medical, dental, vision for the employee with additional cost options for dependents. We offer 401k and ROTH investment options. After year one you accrue 20 days of PTO, yep, your read that right! Combined with paid holidays, our benefits are some of the best in our industry.

Axiom isn't like the other shops around town (who we respect), we're unique and produce custom one-offs which keeps things interesting. We also offer the opportunity to grow your experience and learn to operate other CNC machinery. See our capabilities at

We're looking for someone experienced that wants to run our Amada HG1303 press brake (and Kern laser, or learn the laser), that is also interested in venturing out and to learn to program the machines over time. Flexibility in our manufacturing world is key, so folks cross-train on all machinery, which includes (3) Thermwood routers, a Kuka 7-axis Robot, and a Royce 5-Axis router. Check out what we can do at

We seek a good work ethic and someone keen on attention to detail. This opening is a day shift position with an hourly wage based on knowledge and experience. You'll perform all job functions considering safety as the highest priority. Ownership and responsibility for job assignments is a must. We need someone with a can-do attitude, that continually produces high quality parts which meet customer drawing specifications and engineering standards while minimizing scrap and rework costs.

You will produce machined parts for all kinds of custom projects and will need to be willing to ask questions and flex between working on a team and individually.

If this sounds like your next career move, reach out with an intro and resume!
