Job Title: Staff Accountant (Temp-to-Hire)
Location: Tampa, FL (100% Onsite)
Pay Rate: $30–$37 per hour (based on experience)
Job Type: Temporary to Hire
Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our team in Tampa, FL. This is a 100% onsite position with the potential to transition into a permanent role. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain financial records, reports, and general ledgers
Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy in financial documentation
Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
Support accounts payable and receivable functions
Prepare journal entries and assist with audits
Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
Collaborate with other departments to support financial operations
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
2+ years of accounting experience preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP)
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Pay Details: $30.00 to $37.00 per hour
