Student Worker, Data Analyst (Summer)

Allied Mineral Products is a leading manufacturer of monolithic refractories worldwide. We are seeking a Student Worker, Data Analyst (Summer) who will have the opportunity to work on high-impact projects and gain real world experience with advanced technology. This position will support the organization to leverage data to drive strategic decisions and create impactful solutions.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, patterns and insights that drive business decisions.

Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to visualize data and communicate findings to stakeholders.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver actionable insights.

Assist in the design and implementation of data models and algorithms to solve business problems.

Participate in data quality and validation processes to ensure accuracy and reliability of data.

Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in data analysis, visualization and artificial intelligence (AI).

Research and implement innovative AI solutions to improve business processes and outcomes.

Incorporate AI models and techniques into data processing and analysis.

Qualifications:

Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science or a related field.

Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages such as Python, SWL, and Excel.

Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or similar.

Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.

Keen attention to detail.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.

Ability to work independently, yet have strong collaborative skills.

Familiarity with machine learning algorithms and AI techniques is a plus.
