What You’ll Do:
As an Interior Projects Manager you’ll act as the owner’s representative and project manager for interior unit renovation projects at various owned and managed conventional and student multifamily housing properties throughout the country.

Located in downtown Columbus, Ohio, our corporate offices overlook the Columbus Commons which plays hosts to over 200 events throughout the year. Enjoy the building’s fitness center and rooftop terrace with adjoining clubroom, and walk to some of the city’s best restaurants and downtown amenities.
What You’ll Own:
Assist with building out the interior renovation scope of work and project budget, based off unit inspections during acquisition due diligence period
Setup, coordinate, manage and monitor the successful bidding, contracting, scheduling and completion of interior unit renovation projects, while training site staff to eventually manage the process on a daily basis
Collaborate with in-house Interior Designer, Asset Management and Property Management teams to finalize the interior finish selections, solicit contractor and vendor estimates, negotiate pricing, establish project schedules
Coordinate work activities with vendors, site and regional management personnel to minimize disruption to the residents and to complete projects according to scope, schedule and budget
Review change orders, manage vendor performance, process invoices, assist site teams with project related issues
Establish and maintain product libraries, vendor and contractor relationships, project trackers, project binders
Provide quality assurance support and complete punch walks to ensure completed work is in alignment with company standards and provide adequate training to site teams to eventually self-perform these functions
Manage the repair work associated with casualty events, fire/storm damage, and lender required acquisition repairs when they arise
Prepare monthly project status reports and consistent updates to schedules and budgets
Develop and maintain strong, long term, working relationships with vendors, subcontractors and internal teams
Travel to meet with vendors, contractors and site teams; perform quality inspections; train site teams; provide general support, etc.
Other duties and projects as directed and assigned.
What You’ll Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate Development, Construction, Architecture, Engineering or Business preferred though not required. 10+ years of construction and/or multi-family experience required in lieu of a college degree
5+ years’ experience managing multifamily construction projects OR 8+ years in a project management role/environment
Substantial knowledge of construction, project management, and/or capital improvement planning principles, with specific experience managing interior related projects
Proven ability to drive projects from inception and budgeting to successful completion and close out
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Candidate should be capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously and balance the workload of each of these projects and other initiatives successfully
The position requires a demonstrated self-starter who can collaborate in a team environment
Ability to train, collaborate with and support property management teams
