Position Title: Full time Engineering Technologist (Switchboard Department)

Salary: $76,520 per annum plus superannuation

Responsibilities

• Develop and review electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, general arrangements, equipment lists and specifications for low voltage (LV) & extra low voltage (ELV) switchboards.

• Perform calculations and ensure compliance with relevant Australian Standards and regulations.

• Where required, assist sales/estimating team with designs for major tenders.

• Assist with project management, manufacturing processes and quality control checks.

• Conduct testing and validation of switchboards to ensure performance and reliability.

• Meet timelines for projects

• Other duties as assigned by management.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND CAPABILITIES

You will be expected to have:

• Bachelor of Engineering Technology or associated trade qualification

• Knowledge of automation systems and industrial motor control.

• A sound knowledge of relevant Australian Standards and rules (AS/NZS 61439, AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 3008, SIRs)

• Proficiency in CAD software for electrical design (AutoCAD, PowerCAD, etc.)

• Minimum three years of relevant work experience

• Work well in a team setting as well as independently.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality work.

• An open attitude to continuous learning and seek opportunities to grow.

• Willingness to solve complicated problems and see projects through to completion.

• Analytical skills to study problems and records and identify solutions.

• Strong interpersonal communication and relationship-building skills.

• Ability to manage time and effectively prioritise numerous projects at one time.

• Completion of deliverables within designated timeframes.

• Adherence to schedule.

• Maintain communication with internal team members.
