As a Contracts Administrator you will play a pivotal role in supporting the acquisition and procurement process for both domestic and international contracts. You will have an opportunity to grow your knowledge of government contracting, particularly within the US Government Acquisition and Procurement environment. This position will require you to demonstrate a strong understanding of company policies, procedures, and industry regulations including FAR/DFAR, export regulations, and government compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Government Acquisition & Procurement: Maintain and demonstrate a working understanding of the US Government Acquisition and Procurement environment, including FAR/DFAR and other relevant government regulations.
Proposal Support: Independently lead proposal activities including analysis of solicitations, preparing summaries, developing strategies, and presenting recommendations based on findings. Participate in all proposal team meetings and ensure proposals are prepared accurately and submitted in a timely manner.
Contract Document Coordination: Coordinate with other company functions to ensure appropriate reviews are conducted, schedule reviews, and obtain necessary approvals prior to proposal submission or contract execution.
Contract Language Research & Recommendations: Research and propose recommendations on contract language, ensuring that all necessary functions review terms with minimal supervision from the Contracts Manager.
Contract Negotiations: Lead contract negotiations, collaborating with customers to define contract terms, under the general guidance of the Contracts Manager.
Research & Presentations: Research and provide presentations on moderate complexity acquisition/contracting topics and strategies to the team.
Contract Processing & Administration: Perform all aspects of contract administration including order entry, scope changes, amendments, receipts, delivery schedules, and legal requirements.
Agreement Drafting: Analyze and prepare various agreements such as Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), Teaming Agreements, Memorandum of Understanding (MOUs), and Strategic Alliances, under the supervision of a Contracts Manager.
Audit and Fact-Finding: Lead or support fact-finding activities and audits related to contract execution.
Contract Closeout: Participate in the final stages of contracts by verifying the completion of all commitments and assisting with contract closeout activities.
Primary Point of Contact: Act as the primary point of contact for contractual matters on assigned contracts, including drafting and executing correspondence related to contractual issues.
Contractual Documentation Management: Maintain all required contractual records and documents, ensuring compliance with contract requirements and company procedures.
Specialized Knowledge Development: Develop specialized knowledge in specific areas of contracting, including international contracts, commercial contracting, joint ventures, and intellectual property.
Cost and Price Analysis: Prepare contract summaries, assist with cost/price analysis, and resolve moderately complex business issues on special assignments.

Microsoft Office Proficiency: Expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Adaptability & Discretion: Ability to adapt to changing priorities, handle sensitive information confidentially, and maintain professionalism at all times.
Contract Experience: Experience with Cost-Type, Cost-Plus, and Firm Fixed-Price Contracts, including Prime Contracts.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
Contract Law Knowledge: Basic understanding of contract law, legal terminology, and FAR/DFAR.
Procurement Knowledge: Familiarity with procurement principles and practices.
Project Management: Knowledge of project management principles and practices.
Data Management: Experience with contract management software and databases.
Time Management & Collaboration: Ability to manage time effectively, work under pressure, and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal and finance departments.
Experience:
Required:
2-3 years of relevant contract management experience or equivalent.
Knowledge of DoD contracting, FAR/DFAR regulations, and contract compliance.
Proven experience in coordinating, negotiating, and executing contracts.
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and general computer skills.
Preferred:
Experience with international contracts or other specialized contracting areas.
Experience with contract negotiation and complex problem-solving.
Education Required:
High School Diploma.
2-3 years of relevant contract management experience or equivalent.
