STRS Ohio is seeking an Associate Trainer, Member Benefits Processing, to join the Member Benefits Processing team.

Compensation:
$31.85 - $38.22/ hr.
Work Schedule:
8:00am-5:00pm Monday through Friday (Onsite)
General Summary:
Under the direction of the assistant director, Member Benefits Processing, provide training and development activities for the member benefits processing associates and recipient benefit processing associates. Train associates on primary training modules. Test system applications, programming changes and operational procedures.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Develop training materials and job aids for (1) service retirement, (2) service retirement recalculations, (3) purchasable service credit, (4) reselection and (5) recipient death.
Provide training to new and existing associates. Assess training needs, establish written objectives and select methods of instruction.
Evaluate training programs, effectiveness of training materials and associate's performance during training. Provide progress reports based on objective data and brief written summaries to management.
Recommend methods to improve training curriculum based on objective data.
Maintain a working knowledge of operational procedures; provide recommendations as appropriate.

Summary of Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in education, communication, business or related field required.
Five years of workplace training experience required or three or more years of STRS Ohio work experience.
Ability to train and lead associates to complete tasks accurately and efficiently.
Manage multiple priorities simultaneously and function under close deadlines with minimal supervision.
Ability to learn processes and effectively train accordingly. Maintain knowledge of processes to provide training as needed.
Ability to make presentations to groups in a clear, accurate, and interesting manner.
