Harrison County Hospital is looking for a Medical Assistant to join our team at Harrison Crawford Health Care.nThe Medical Assistant works closely with the Physician/Provider in the practice clinical setting, assists with direct patient care, and serves as the clinical liaison between Physician/Provider and the patient, as well as the Physician/Provider and the office staff.
The incumbent is responsible for promoting communication among all care Providers, patients, and office staff regarding the care plan for the patient as defined by the attending Physician/Provider.
This individual attends the patients utilizing the age appropriate principles of growth and development for patients of all ages according to the practice specialty.nAdditional duties include:nnAssist with in office procedures for pain management.nManage pain management schedules which includes outpatient surgery and in office appointments and procedures.nObtain necessary prior authorizations for all procedures done by pain management.nnEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:nnMedical Assistant Degree Preferredn1 year of experience PreferrednHigh School Diploma or GED RequirednnSKILLS:nnAbility to work independently and with groups.nAnalytical and problem solving skills.nAnnual CPR recertificationnAbility to operate office equipment: computer, printers, fax machine, copy machine, telephonenGood knowledge of medical terminologynUse of correct terminology, spelling and grammar in documentation.nAbility to communicate verbally and in writing with various healthcare professionals, patients, families, and employees.nnAs an affiliate of Norton® Healthcare, we enjoy the best of both worlds – access to all the resources of the largest health system in Louisville, while retaining local ownership and leadership in daily operations.nHarrison County Hospital has continuously served the people of Harrison County since 1950.
