Job Description
Dunn’s Therapies is currently seeking a professional and enthusiastic Music Therapist to provide one on one therapy to clients in the Houston and Surrounding Metro Areas. Clients vary in age from child to senior.
This is a contractor-based position with a flexible schedule and hours. Full-Time and Part-Time Availability.
As a music therapist with our company, you will work directly with clients in their homes to provide personalized care that incorporates music as a therapeutic tool. You will serve mainly the Special Needs Population and will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of clients by helping them to overcome physical, emotional, and cognitive challenges through the power of music.
The Music Therapist provides patient treatment according to state guidelines. In addition, this position requires the following:
Effective communication skills for working with patients, families, and caregivers.
Competency in administering assessments, care planning and treatment in accordance with the standards of practice of the Certification Board for Music Therapists (CB-MT).
Must be board certified (MT-BC) through The Certification Board for Music Therapists, or eligible to sit for the certification exam.
Current or be willing to obtain Professional Liability Insurance.
Current CPR certification through American Heart Association, Red Cross, or be willing to obtain CPR certification
