Program Benefits:

Full-time teaching or substitute/instructional aide position with employer during apprenticeship

Guaranteed position with employer after completing the apprenticeship

No cost for certification courses

No cost for Praxis exam support

Earn NJ teaching certification

National credential from the US Department of Labor

Through the apprenticeship program, aspiring teachers have the opportunity to complete the requirements for a New Jersey teaching certification from an accredited institution while earning a wage. Apprentices will also receive a national portable credential from the US Department of Labor which can be used in any state in the country.

Upon acceptance in the program, apprentices will be enrolled in an approved program based on their qualifications (options will be discussed during the interview). More information about the recommended pathway will be shared in the acceptance letter.
