JOB POSTING:

ASSOCIATE PRIVATE WEALTH ADVISOR / PORTFOLIO MANAGER/ INVESTMENT OPERATIONS DIRECTOR

(NOT A SALES POSITION)

OVERALL FUNCTION

An APWA with the appropriate licensing, registration, and product qualification exams may act on behalf of the employing private wealth advisor to prospect, prepare materials, maintain, and service Signature advisory accounts. An APWA may not enter into an advisory relationship with a client.

Responsibilities include:

PROPOSAL AND CASE PREPARATION

• Gathering information for PWA meetings with client/prospect

• Preparing investment annual review information

• Preparing investment/advisory proposals

• Preparing letter of instruction for client signature

• Recommending fund portfolio options

INVESTMENT CLIENT MEETINGS

• Completing risk tolerance (personal profile) questionnaire with client

• Making security recommendations and modifying asset allocations for existing advisory client accounts

• Daily focus on markets / able to provide market related commentary

• Participating in client meetings / investment account onboarding

PROCESSING ACCOUNTS

• Preparing and processing all documents needed for investment/advisory accounts

• Processing and monitoring asset transfers / initial and subsequent funding of advisory accounts

• Discussing potential rollover opportunities

• Processing proposal amendments, monitoring alerts and annual reviews in Envestnet

• Executing buy or sell orders / rebalancing accounts / maintaining asset allocation

• Monitoring holdings for program eligibility and administering advisory accounts

CLIENT SERVICE

• Corresponding with clients / handling investment related service issues

• Contacting clients on behalf of the PWA / developing investment plans / providing technical explanations

• Accepting / processing redemptions/withdrawals requests

• Discussing tax consequences, costs, and advisory fees

• Performing cashiering functions

• Running performance reports in Envestnet and NMCIR

QUALIFICATIONS

• Series 7

• The following designations are desired: CFA or CFP®, CIMA

• Completion of advisory training program

• Trading experience, ability to process personal securities transactions

• Familiarity with Microsoft applications and data entry and information retrieval software

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Strong critical thinking, financial analysis and problem-solving skills required

• Ability to manage multiple diverse projects and assignments in a timely and quality manner

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy

• Demonstrated ability to maintain effective working relationships with clients

• Ability to look beyond the obvious and not stop at the first answers

• Willingness to learn

• Ability to embrace change and work in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to work both independently and as a team

• Ability to maintain confidentiality
