Shipper / Receiver I (PERM)
Location: Beverly, MA
Pay: TBD
Hours: 7:00am - 3:30pm
Summary:
Logistics and Materials are an interdependent and cohesive team. Success within the team requires cross functional support and coverage of all activities regardless of primary job title.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The incumbent may be required to perform all, or a combination of the following essential functions as determined by business necessity. All activities must be performed in compliance with current Quality System Requirements.
Perform daily shipments of outgoing materials at all levels.
Ensure the completion of all daily receipts.
Perform daily receipt of incoming materials. Post all transactions into material tracking system and save all tracking reports at day’s end; ensure the delivery of packing slips to Reception/storage.
Help prepare and pack orders for both domestic and international shipments
Assemble orders; confirm all materials, counts, lots and related information match associated documentation. Alert supervisor to any issues.
Maintain 6S principles in shipping materials area. Alert Supervisor if material is low and in need of reordering.
Operate standard manual and automatic equipment, such as electronic scales, foam machine, paper cutter and automatic bagger.
Utilize UPS and FEDEX software to ship/receive product
Crosstrain in all functions of the Material Handling group, as instructed by Supervisor.
Complete receiving reports specified in standard procedures.
Assist with Cycle Counting on a needed basis. Required to assist in year-end count.
Assist with the departure of all orders on each month’s end.
Move or expedite material to proper department or storage location.
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: In addition to the essential functions listed above, the incumbent may be required to perform other non-essential functions. Employees are required to follow any other job-related instructions and to perform any other job-related duties as requested by their supervisor.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.
A minimum of 1-year related experience.
Some experience using shipping (UPS & FedEx) software.
Some understanding of warehouse activities and operations.
Familiarity with ERP systems a plus.
Computer skills required.
Must be able to perform multiple functions daily and execute them in a timely manner.
Must have full understanding of product tracking and attention to detail.
Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with internal and external customers and work well with others.
Ability to lift up to 50lbs.Company Description
