Position Summary

The Senior IT Project Manager is responsible for leading the planning, execution, and successful delivery of internal and external IT network infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives, financial targets, and operational excellence. This role focuses on project governance, resource management, risk mitigation, and actively delivering projects on time, within scope, and on budget. The Senior IT Project Manager works closely with stakeholders across departments to drive project execution and ensure client satisfaction.

Experience

5+ years of program or project management experience, preferably in IT Managed Services.

Demonstrated success in managing cross-functional teams and complex project portfolios.

ConnectWise experience strongly preferred.

Additional Responsibilities

Develop and implement project management frameworks, ensuring standardization across all initiatives.

Oversee project execution to align with organizational goals, financial targets, and client expectations.

Manage the financial performance of assigned projects, ensuring profitability and cost control.

Monitor project budgets, forecast resource needs, and mitigate financial risks.

Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.

Establish project milestones, success metrics, and risk management strategies.

Serve as the primary point of escalation for project-related issues.

Coordinate with department leads to allocate resources efficiently and effectively.

Identify opportunities to improve project management processes, workflows, and tools.

Leverage automation and best practices to enhance efficiency and quality of project delivery.

Anticipate potential project risks and implement proactive mitigation strategies.

Manage scope changes and ensure proper documentation and approval processes are followed.

Skills and Abilities

Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies.

Proven experience managing large-scale IT network infrastructure projects, preferably within a Managed Services Provider (MSP) environment.

Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., ConnectWise, MS Project, Etc.).

Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven MSP environment.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.

Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field preferred

Certifications and Licenses

PMP and/or PgMP preferred.

Valid Florida Driver’s License required.
