SUMMARY: Provides customers with courteous customer service in person and on the phone. Accurately enters data into computer.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Welcomes patients into the practice
· Handles registration by entering patient demographics
· Verifies patient insurance and collect copays
· Data Entry to ensure accurate patient billing
· Scanning patient information into EMR
· Clear understanding of insurance plans to ensure proper appointment scheduling
· Operate standard office equipment such as calculators, computers, copiers, scanners, and facsimile equipment
· Ability to work in a fast pace environment with 10 Physicians, 1 PA-C, and 1 NP
· Adhere to company dress and appearance requirements
· Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
· At least 2 years of medical experience, preferred
· At least 2 years of previous experience in customer service role
· Knowledge of Practice management system, preferred
· Experience using EMR systems, preferred
· Multi-Tasking skills, required
· Strong communication and customer service skills necessary
· Excellent written and oral communication skills
