Great opportunity at a plastic packaging manufacturing company located in Carson.

They are hiring maintenance mechanics on their Night Shift.

Monday - Friday

6PM - 6:30AM / Must be able to train on first shift

Must be open to work overtime & Saturday as needed

Position is responsible for repairing and installing advanced production/manufacturing equipment. Inspects equipment for proper functioning and performs preventative maintenance duties per manufacturer's specifications. Diagnoses equipment malfunctions and makes repairs that are more complicated or adjustments as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Performs breakdown analysis.

Upgrades production lines with new/upgraded equipment/technology.

Directs activities of outside contractors working on assigned line.

Changes line for package changeovers

Works independently under limited supervision (self-management).

Documentation of work schedule and work tasks completed on a timely basis.

Anticipates needed equipment, parts, and supplies; places and expedites orders; verifies receipts.

Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.

Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.

Maintains technical knowledge by: attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications; establishing personal networks.

Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Inspecting, troubleshooting, and performing preventive maintenance on printing and extrusion machines

Keep track of tools, material & parts needed for maintenance

Must be able read & interpret pneumatic, electric & ladder diagrams and be comfortable enough with their skill set to have the ability to troubleshoot electronic equipment (sensors, counters, power supplies, displays, PLC’s and HMI’s) They will perform small electrical installations for 120, 240 and 480v.

their sole purpose will be to service our Production department

Must count with knowledge in electric VFD’s, DC Drives and motors

PLC trouble shooting

Qualifications:

Previous experience in machinery or other related fields

Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

Familiarity with industrial tools and equipment

Ability to handle physical workload
