Job Title: Machine Operator
Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and skilled Machine Operator to join our team. This role involves operating machinery to ensure the quality and conformity of packaged products, as well as assisting with assembly and configuration of machines according to specifications. You will play a vital role in maintaining efficiency and troubleshooting any issues that may arise during production.
Responsibilities
Operate the machine and ensure quality and conformity of packaged products.
Assist in assembling and configuring machines according to current specifications.
Ensure correct consumables are loaded for the product being run.
Maintain covering carts and hopper as necessary.
Check for correct packaging materials.
Prepare unused materials for storage at the end of a run, including counting and labeling cases.
Detect and report defective materials, machine problems, or questionable conditions promptly.
Maintain necessary machine supplies and keep work area and equipment clean and orderly.
Properly wash and reset equipment during product changes as per standard operating procedures.
Understand and troubleshoot downtime issues effectively.
Display a positive attitude towards colleagues, equipment, and company policies.
Adhere to company safety guidelines, HACCP requirements, and Good Manufacturing Practices.Essential Skills
6 months of production/packaging experience.
Comfortable working 6 days a week, including Saturdays.
Ability to operate and troubleshoot machinery.
Understanding of production processes and packaging requirements.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous experience in a cold environment preferred.
Awareness of potential food allergies.
Flexibility to be moved across the production floor as needed.Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of VISTA, CaliforniaPay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
