Office Clerk / Customer Service Representative

Salary: $23-25/hour

Our client, a landscape supply company in Ashland, MA, is seeking a personable, detail-oriented individual with strong phone and customer service skills to support our seasonal operations. This TEMPORARY role is ideal for someone who is comfortable handling customer inquiries, placing orders, and managing basic point-of-sale transactions in a fast-paced, outdoor materials business.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8AM-4PM (with occasional Saturday work from 8AM-2PM)

Pay: $23-25 per hour (DOE)

Key Responsibilities:

Answer incoming calls and provide excellent customer service

Take phone orders for bark mulch, stone products, loam, compost, and dumpster rentals

Handle incoming requests for dumpster rentals

Input orders accurately into the point-of-sale system (training provided if needed)

Maintain professional and friendly communication with all customers

Qualifications:

Strong phone and interpersonal communication skills

Customer service experience preferred

Ability to quickly learn and operate a point-of-sale system

Reliable, punctual, and capable of working independently during coverage weeks

Flexible availability, including occasional Saturdays as the season picks up
