Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Human Resources Generalist to join our team. This role is essential in supporting our HR functions and ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of HR practices, including interviewing, employee evaluation, payroll management, and workers' compensation. As a Human Resources Generalist, you will play a vital role in fostering a positive workplace culture while managing various HR projects and initiatives.
Responsibilities
Conduct interviews and assist in the recruitment process to identify qualified candidates.
Evaluate employee performance and provide feedback to enhance productivity.
Manage workers' compensation claims and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
Collaborate on project management initiatives to improve HR processes.
Engage in strategic planning to align HR goals with organizational objectives.
Utilize Dayforce for efficient HR management and data collection.
Stay informed about employment labor laws, and OSHA regulations to ensure compliance.
Collect and analyze data related to employee engagement, turnover, and other HR metrics.
Experience
Proven experience in human resources or related fields is preferred.
Strong skills in interviewing techniques and employee evaluation methods.
Familiarity with workers' compensation processes and payroll systems.
Experience in project management within an HR context is advantageous.
Knowledge of strategic planning principles as they relate to human resources.
Understanding of employment labor law and OSHA standards is highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.
This is a full-time position requiring 30 hours of work per week, set in a professional office environment. The role is mostly seated and sedentary; however, employees may occasionally need to stand, walk, use their hands and fingers, reach with their arms, and communicate verbally. Additionally, employees might be required to lift or move office supplies and products weighing up to 20 pounds.
